The story of Dance in the City
Dance in the City is a painting created by the French artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Completed in 1883, the artwork is currently housed in the collection of the Musée d'Orsay. The dancers depicted in the painting are Suzanne Valadon, a model and artist, and Paul Auguste Lhôte, a friend of Renoir.

Pierre-Auguste Renoir was a French artist who was a leading painter in the development of the Impressionist style. It has been said that, as a celebrator of beauty and especially feminine sensuality, "Renoir is the final representative of a tradition which runs directly from Rubens to Watteau."
