The story of Daniel in the Lions' Den
This LACMA canvas (accession 22.6.3) is a later version of the subject; LACMA's record dates it 1907-1918 and notes it is often mistaken for the picture that earned Tanner an honourable mention at the Paris Salon of 1896.
