The story of The Dance of the Nymphs

The Dance of the Nymphs, also known as Morning: The Dance of the Nymphs, was painted in 1850 and shows a group of nymphs dancing in a wooded glen. It was shown at the Salon of 1850 at the Louvre and was acquired by the French state in 1851. It is now in the Musée d'Orsay.

Camille Corot

Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot, or simply Camille Corot, was a French landscape and portrait painter as well as a printmaker in etching. A pivotal figure in landscape painting, his vast output simultaneously referenced the Neo-Classical tradition and anticipated the plein-air innovations of Impressionism.
